Welcome to The Book Vine, Cherokee's favorite store for books, wine and gifts. Located in historic Cherokee, Iowa, The Book Vine is proud to be Cherokee's premiere independent bookstore, offering the latest best sellers, books by local authors, a lively and wonder-filled children's collection, classics and more. We invite you to enjoy our fine wines from around the world while browsing through our wide variety of books or sip on savory coffee while looking over our our wonderful collection of unqiue gifts including Arthur Court and Reidel Wine glasses and accessories.

The Book Vine was created for the Cherokee residents by fellow resident Mollie Loughlin, in an old town country store. The 115-year-old brick building has been restored to house this Cherokee bookstore, which is two stories, with a mezzanine that serves as a reading and writing center. The bookstore features all of the comforts of a warm and inviting atmosphere that just makes you want to relax with a good book. With its tin ceilings, fireplace, and tall bookcases with a sliding ladder, you will want to stick around awhile. We invite all of our customers to enjoy our free Wi-Fi internet access.
