About Laurel, NE


Laurel, Nebraska is a peaceful farming community located in the Northeast region of the state. Home to nearly 1,000 residents, Laurel is a community full of active and dedicated citizens.

Exciting progress has been made and Laurel is thriving in the 21st Century. The most recent residential addition of properties, the Norris Addition, is nearly at capacity. The Laurel Industrial Park is rapidly developing as one business is open and another is in the construction phase.

Recently, the Laurel-Concord School District partnered with the neighboring Coleridge School District to provide the students in both districts a better education. The high school has moved to a 'One-to-One' laptop program through a partnership with Apple Inc.

The City and the Laurel-Concord School District have maintained a partnership through the Community Learning Center to provide a computer lab, distance learning facility, and a vast amount of educational resources to citizens and students. Further, the Community Fitness Center is a public exercise complex that provides exceptional equipment for high school athletes and community members alike.
