Cherokee, Iowa's Mill Creek Fest

Festival or Event in Cherokee, IA

Our festival began 8 years ago when Kurt and Joyce Rasmus along with partners formed a company whose goal was to put together the best in music, food, and fun and to have one of Northwest Iowa’s most exciting events of the summer.

The partners retired from the event in 2012. Kurt and Joyce Rasmus, along with their children, decided to continue the tradition by bringing in big name Country artists. There was a name change and reorganization in 2017. The festival still has the same goal as when it started. Now called Mill Creek Festival under our organization of Back 40 Music.

Fans can partake in camping for the duration of the festival. In past years, there have been air boat rides, helicopter rides, mud volleyball tournaments, tailgating games, water activities, and much more. Fans can expect a weekend of high energy entertainment in a crazy and laid back atmosphere!
