I would like to share our purpose so you have the opportunity to know us a little better.
The Purpose of FBC Clarks Grove is to:
Celebrate God’s love as we bring people into His Family toGrow in Him, Serve Him and Reach Out to others.
We are not going to be perfect but we strive to:
Celebrate: We want to celebrate who God is in all aspects of our lives, where we work, how we play, in who we meet and how we worship. Isaiah 58:1a (NRSV) "Shout out, do not hold back! Lift up your voice like a trumpet!"
Family: It is good to know when you are facing difficult situations that people have your back. The FBC family is here to celebrate the joys, lovingly help you thru the pain and uplift you in every day living. "So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith." Galatians 6:10 (NRSV)
Grow: "Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation." 1Peter 2:1-2 (NIV) Our whole lives are spent learning and growing some things good, some bad. The very act to deepen a relationship with the God who saved us through His Son, Jesus is what compells us to love, to grow, to rid ourselves of the bad.
Serve: Serving is humbly loving others with our actions whether we like them or not. "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”John 13:35 (NIV) Reach Out: We are the hands, feet and voice for Jesus spreading the hope of salvation to all who will hear. "Jesus said to them... As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” John 20:21 (NIV)
