In April of 1990 David and Bonnie Wardwell set out a mission to own their own business and put their talents together. David is great with his hands and remodeling and Bonnie loves to cook. The café needed a lot of TLC which David and Bonnie were eager for the challenge. The journey was set to be a 10 year plan and then they would move on to something new. After lots of long hours, sweat, tears and joyful moments, they just weren't ready to move on. They built up the business to the well known "Bonnie Rae's Café" that it is today. Catering to the customers and keeping the prices low has been the main priority. Now going into 30 years in the café, they are still thriving and business is better than ever. The café fills up on the weekends and could potentially be up to an hour wait for your good old fashioned homemade breakfast and lunch. Lets not forget to mention the homemade pies and soups that Bonnie makes on a daily basis. Open 7 days a week is not easy at times but they have been blessed with such amazing patrons who are very patient and very forgiving when needed. They also have been blessed with a good staff to keep up with the madness. Their daughter Crystal has also helped to make this journey possible. You will most likely see one of the three of them on a daily basis. We hope to see some new faces as we love to hear the stories of how they stumbled onto the great Bonnie Rae's Café.
