Brick Street Books & Cafe is located on the south side of Adel’s historic courthouse square and, since it opened in 2011, has served as a hub of social activity in Adel. Brick Street Books & Cafe features new and used books, a classic cafe menu and complete coffee shop drink menu.
The Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our all-day breakfast menu centers around fresh eggs from Raccoon Forks Farms. For lunch and dinner, we offer sandwiches, salads and daily homemade soup specials. We used to sell more fresh baked goods, but the baked goods became so popular we expanded in 2016 with Brick Street Bakery, located on the west side of the square.
As a Raccoon Forks microbusiness, Brick Street Books & Cafe provides job opportunities to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. Employees at the Cafe receive one-on-one job coaching and the support they need to build skills and be successful on the job.
