Children's Discovery Museum

Our mission statement at the Children's Discovery Museum is to enrich the lives of the children of Northern Minnesota through fun, education, and hands-on learning experiences, and to spark the joy of discovery through the exploration or science, arts, and humanities. General admission for all ages in $10.00 per person, with the exception of children who are LESS than two years of age, who are free. This admission cost includes access to the Children's Discovery Museum, and The Judy Garland Museum. The CDM also has a quality gift store that offers a wide variety of inexpensive child-oriented toys, books, and material, as well as Wizard of Oz souvenirs, keeping with the Judy Garland Theme. The Children's Discovery Museum is one of the only children's museums located in a rural area in a town of fewer than 10,000 inhabitants anywhere in the nation. Furthermore, the CDM is one of only four children's museums in Minnesota, and one of only 400 in the nation. The CDM provides opportunities for children to learn about many different subjects through hands-on exhibits and experiences.
