Fiberworks Needlework Shop

Business in Waverly, IA

Fiberworks was established by Karol Simmer in September 1993. If you want to visit our physical store, we are easy to find in the lavender brick store front on the main east-west street of Waverly, Iowa, 108 East Bremer Ave (also Highway 3).

The main techniques we support include counted and stamped cross stitch, needlepoint and charted canvas work, quilting and applique, hardanger, pulled and drawn thread, punch needle, thread crochet, silk ribbon embroidery, smocking, tatting, and beading. We also have some knitting yarns and will special order what you need specifically. We try to keep items in stock that you will want and need, but since we unfortunately aren’t clairvoyant, we are willing to special order the things you want that we don’t have.

Other services we offer are mail orders, cutting fabric to size, custom framing, pleating for smocking, finishing of bell pulls, stockings, pillows, stand-ups and wall hangings, assistance in changing thread or fabric colors, blocking needlepoint, updates by newsletter and in-store instructional classes.

For mail orders, we use U.S. Postal Service and charge actual postage – please indicate if you would like your package insured otherwise your liability starts when it leaves the Waverly post office. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, checks and money orders. Packages are sent out the next postal business day if items are in stock.

Please remember we are not a Wal-Mart-like organization and so cannot have the same type of return policies. Because of copyright laws, we do not accept returns on books or patterns. Normally thread and fabric cut to specific sizes are not returnable. If other items are allowed for return, they must be authorized by us and in a resale-able condition. A store credit will be issued.

With over 20 years of experience, we provide our customers the best merchandise always, and at small shop prices.
