Iowa artist Barbara McGee opened McGee Gallery and Framing in 2000. Originally a shared space, Barbara was ecstatic to move her painting and framing studio out of her home. Barb took over the full lease in 2002, designating a room each for her studio and gallery. Growing again in 2008, McGee Gallery expanded to include the building that had housed Eddie’s Hardware.
Opening the gallery has not only given McGee a place to showcase her own work but also that of many of the fine artists she has met over the last twenty years of showing. McGee’s studio is connected to the gallery, giving visitors an opportunity see new works at varying stages of creation. In addition to paintings her own designs, Barbara is available to do commission paintings, and offers custom framing.
Parties interested in framing should call for an estimate.
