The Dayton Community Center was built in 1989 to fill a community need for a spacious and modern facility where such diverse events as fundraisers, club meetings, elections, blood drives, receptions and family reunions could be held. It was constructed with funds from the School, City, local groups, and individuals. The building is located adjacent to the Southeast Webster-Grand School Gymnasium and features a full kitchen and seating for over 100 people. Citizens may use the building for a fee. Reservations are taken at the Dayton City Clerk's Office at 515-547-2711. The address to the Community Center is 104 1st St NW.
