The Madrid Fire Department is an all volunteer Fire Department, located northwest of Des Moines in central Iowa, which has been in continuous operation since 1900.
We provide Fire and EMS service to our citizens, businesses, neighbors, and visitors over a coverage area of approximately 36 square miles in the southern Boone County and a small quadrant of northwest Polk County.
The members of the Madrid Fire Department are highly motivated and truly dedicated to providing the highest level of service possible to meet the needs of the area. The City of Madrid has been experiencing explosive growth since the High Trestle Trail became a reality. Additionally, Madrid is strategically located close to many recreational opportunities in the form of lakes, campgrounds, bike trails, and snowmobile trails.
Each year, visitors from all around the state, nation and the world travel to Madrid to take in the beauty of the High Trestle Trail and to experience all the area has to offer. Thanks for visiting!
