The Ossian Community Center was dedicated on August 4, 1978 by then governor Robert D. Ray. The facility is handicapped accessible and is home to the library, the city clerk's office, a community meeting room and public restrooms. Since 1985 the facility's lobby has been open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, allowing residents and travelers access to the restrooms.
COMMUNITY CENTER MEETING ROOM
The community center meeting room is available to the public to rent for $50.00. Along with the meeting room there are kitchen facilities that include a stove, refrigerator and microwave. The meeting room can accommodate smaller groups up to approximately 85 persons. The room can be reserved by calling the city clerk; 563-532-8939.
