Our small town of Sanborn has celebrated Watermelon Days almost continuously since the very first one which was held in 1928. It is celebrated every summer with a carnival, food stands, parades, queen pageant and lots of free watermelon. There have been other events included in the celebration in past years: car shows, talent shows, bands, ball games, bean bag tourney, kid’s tractor pull, 5k run, seed spitting, firemen water fights, flower shows and bed races. Come and join us this year for our Watermelon Day Celebration!
