We at St. John's are a church faithful to the teachings of Jesus Christ and the holy Scriptures, which we believe to be the inspired word of God. We believe the Holy Spirit guides and leads us as we embrace the struggle to learn and grow in our relationship with Christ and in our knowledge and practice of our Christian faith. Our pastors seek to shepherd all members of St. John's as fellow saints and fellow sinners. Above all else we embrace the two greatest commandments: "Jesus answered, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the greatest and the most important commandment. The second most important commandment is like it: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.'"
