Originally founded as the "New Ulm Church of Christ" in 1962, it was re-named "River Valley Christian Church" in 1992. The church building, constructed in 1905, is one of the oldest churches in New Ulm. It has been home to RVCC since 1965. RVCC is an autonomous, non-denominational, Bible-based fellowship that follows the structure and principles of the New Testament Church. One of RVCC's strongest characteristics is its warmth and sense of family. It welcomes all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. It gathers every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. for worship and fellowship, observing the Lord's Supper at each service in commemoration of His life, death, and bodily resurrection. It practices baptism of believers by immersion, evangelizes to the lost according to the great commission, and ministers to the needy.
