Core Beliefs
1. The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is our final authority and the basis for all we teach and believe. 2 Timothy 3:16
2. God is a triune person—Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19
3. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 1 John 1:3
4. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin. Matthew 1:23-25
5. Man is created in the image of God. Genesis 1:26-27
6. No man is without sin. Romans 3:23-24
7. Sin reaps death, but Jesus gives eternal life. Romans 6:23-24
8. There is only one Mediator (Jesus Christ) between God and man. 1 Timothy 2:5
9. Every man needs to be born again to enter God’s Kingdom. John 3:3,5
10. Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father. John 14:6
11. Salvation is through Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12, 16:31 and John 3:16
12. The basis of our salvation is faith in what Christ did for us, not what we do for Him. Ephesians 2:8-9
13. There is a hell where the unsaved will be forever punished and banished. Matthew 25:41 and 2 Thessalonians 1:9
14. We are baptized into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:13
15. We are to be baptized by immersion in water. Acts 8:36
16. Jesus baptizes us in the Holy Spirit. Luke 3:16
17. Discipleship is God’s way of developing Christ’s character (i.e., love, etc.) in Christians. John 13:35
18. Christ’s First and Second Commandments. Matthew 22:37-39
19. Supernatural signs will follow Christ’s believers. Mark 16:17-18
20. The healing and deliverance ministry of Christ was given to believers. Luke 9:1-2 and Mark 3:14-15
21. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are for Christ’s church. 1 Corinthians 12:4-11
22. Believers are called to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:19-20
23. We are living in the end time of the Bible. Matthew 24:14, 29-30, 44 and 1 Peter 4:7
24. Jesus is coming back again. John 14:3 and 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17
25. The importance of the local church is that it is God’s Kingdom on earth. Hebrews 10:25
26. The national restoration of Israel will be according to the prophetic Scriptures. Isaiah 2:2-3
27. It is important to receive Communion (the Lord’s Supper). 1 Corinthians 11:24-26
28. The purpose of training people in our church is key. Ephesians 4:11-16
29. The ministries of deacon and elder are Biblical and ordained by the overseeing ministry of the church. 1 Timothy 3:1, 13
30. We believe in the importance of regular giving of tithes and offerings to the Lord. 2Corinthians 9:6-7 and Malachi 3:8-12
31. There is a devil, and he seeks to resist the purposes of God and destroy the lives of Christians. Ephesians 6:11-12, Matthew 4:1-11 and 16:23, Luke 13:16 and 22:3, and John 8:44 and 10:10L
