The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) consists of over four million baptized members and more than 10,000 congregations that aregrouped into 65 synods. The ELCA was formed in 1988 as a merger of three Lutheran denominations.Our Savior's is one of 139 congregations in the Western Iowa Synod. The synod office is located in Storm Lake and is served by Bishop Rodger Prois. The ELCA headquarters is in Chicago, Illinois; our Presiding Bishop is Elizabeth Eaton.
