In 1968 three congregations, the Spring Valley Christian, Evangelical United Brethren, and Methodist Churches came together to form Faith United Methodist Church. One of the newly created church’s first priorities was the construction of a building that would be large enough to accommodate the newly merged congregation, which numbered over seven hundred persons. In 1972 that building was completed and consecrated, a beautiful, fully handicapped accessible facility that is in near constant use by the church and community. Besides serving as our worship and education center, we sponsor and host the area Cub Scout and Boy Scout Troops, host the annual community Christmas Dinner, serve as a collection point for the Spring Valley Food Shelf, host concerts and other fundraisers. Our building is frequently used for non-profit dinners as well as family gatherings. We believe that our building is the Lord’s and that we are merely stewards of it, and we’re delighted to see it used to serve our surrounding community in so many ways.
At Faith Church we offer a complete Church School program, multiple Women’s Circles, Youth Ministry, Adult Vocal and Bell Choirs, and a blended worship service that utilizes current technologies to enhance our worship together. We have a number of truly gifted musicians, and we think you’ll be blessed by their ministry too!
