The memorial consists of marble stones engraved with all the names of the veterans from Hull, Iowa going back as far as the Civil War. In the center is a Gold Star Monument with the names of all those who died while in service (not all were combat deaths). Viewing benches and flagpoles with the American flag and the flags of the 5 branches of service complete the display.
