The mission of the Jewell Historical Society is to connect the present generation to the history of Jewell, Iowa, inspiring a deeper appreciation and understanding of the community's rich heritage. The museum accomplishes this by providing exhibitions and programs that enable its users to understand and learn from the past in ways that enrich their present lives and help them to shape a better future. The Iowa Hamilton County town of Jewell, also has been known as Jewell Junction for being located at the junction of two railroads, is located at the northern junction of Iowa Highways 69 and 175.
