About Ainsworth, NE


Welcome to Ainsworth and Brown County! This area of Nebraska offers a wealth of outdoor activities, beautiful scenery, as well as unique shops, all combined with ample dining and lodging facilities. We are known for our friendliness and Sandhills Hospitality. Whether you enjoy interacting with wildlife and our beautiful country or prefer to sit in a vehicle and tour the Nebraska Sandhills. Ainsworth is 10 minutes from the Pine Creek; one of the premiere trout streams in Nebraska, located in Long Pine, NE. Pine Creek is also great for tubing and camping. The Meadville Park and Meadville Store are located fifteen miles north of Ainsworth. There you can go tubing, or sit on the shore bank of the Niobrara River and enjoy the sound of the talking waters and wind in the pine trees. Ainsworth is 45 minutes from most of the major tubing outfitters along the Niobrara River. There are many wonderful places to eat, great establishments to go for entertainment, cozy hotels, and several friendly shopping venues to accommodate your every need while you visit the Sand Hills.
