Brookfield was surveyed in 1859 by John Wood Brooks, a native of Boston. John Wood Brooks is further remembered by the names of four Brookfield streets: John, Wood, Brooks, and Boston streets.
The town of Brookfield is large enough to serve and small enough to care which makes a great combination for businesses and families. We offer the advantages of a friendly country community, with plenty of services! We appreciate our history, our agricultural heritage, our traditions, our environment and our neighbors.
