The citizens of the City of Oakland Acres welcome you to the city's official website. Oakland Acres is a community of approximately 160 citizens and sixty-seven homes situated around several lakes, a public park and golf course. We are conveniently located off Route 6, approximately six miles west of Grinnell and ten miles east of Newton. A residential enclave that affords a pleasant atmosphere to live in, Oakland Acres is still close to Interstate 80 for easy access to Des Moines or Iowa City.
