About Redfield, IA

On behalf of our City Council and Administrative Staff, we welcome you to the City of Redfield Web Site. The site is designed to enlighten our residents and businesses about the many services and activities we have to offer.

Meet Redfield, Iowa. First founded in 1860 Redfield is now home to approximately 835 residents. We are a rural community, with smalltown charm, connected to the Metro by the Racoon River Valley Trail and the Middle Racoon River. With these Central Iowa attractions, we offer many beautiful outdoor parks and activities like biking, canoeing, tubing, fishing and more. Our housing character promotes our small town charm, with a sense of community that provides for safe neighborhoods.

We are very proud of our City! We have a lot to offer, our excellent City Services, our beautiful Parks System, the American Legion Breakfast, and an excellent academic system, including the West Central Valley Middle School located in our charming city. We have all of this and a strong industrial base.

We are very fortunate to have such caring citizens within our community which makes Redfield a “one of a kind” community. We hope this website helps you to learn about our community and opens opportunities for you to become involved.
