There's much to see and do in the City of Riceville! We have many area Amish/Mennonite families in the area who are anxious to share their traditions and handiwork with visitors.
The Riceville Public Library is home to the Brown Opera curtains. These original backdrops were painstakingly restored and are housed in the community room in the library.
There's also a terrific golf course to take advantage of -- the Riceville Golf Course is a 40 year old 9 hole course with challenges around every corner!
Lake Hendricks, a man-made lake just one mile north of the city, is a popular campground and fishing spot. The Wapsi Great Western Nature Trail winds through the park and is an enjoyable way to explore nature.
Any time of year, Riceville is a great place to visit -- come see how we're building a quality community!
Many thanks to local photographer Dale Hartman for the pictures below!
