About Stout, IA
Stout is a city in Grundy County, Iowa. The population was 224 in the 2010 census, an increase from the 217 population in the 2000 census. It is part of the Waterloo–Cedar Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. A post office called Stout has been in operation since 1900.[6] The city was named for A. V. Stout, the original owner of the town site.
