Wesley, Iowa - This farming community of 390 residents (2010 census) is located in the eastern part of Kossuth County, between Algona and Britt just off Hwy 18 & Hwy 17. Wesley became incorporated in 1892 and includes an area of 370 acres.
On entering this rural community, the first site to captivate visitors is the lovely boulevard down the main street. The City’s two parks contain a variety of recreational facilities including a swimming pool, three shelter houses, camping hook-ups, playground equipment, softball diamond, volleyball court, tennis and basketball court.
The community also has a well-equipped community center, well-trained fire department and 1st responder units and an excellent public library. Water, sewer, garbage, and recycling services are provided to its residents.
A community highlight is the Fourth of July celebration which features a full day of activities.
