Welcome to Lewright Meats, a family business that was built in 1936 by our grandfather, H. L. Lewright, Sr., in Eagle Grove, Iowa. The beginning of the business was the involved with custom processing for beef and pork farmers. In 1963, his son, H. L. Jr., came into the business with him, and they began further developing their smoking and sausage making techniques.
In 1981, a son-in-law, Paul, joined the company and began developing the retail and wholesale aspect, using the old recipes and techniques of the past years. The high priority on quality meats has been upheld throughout the years, including the unique blends of spices, smoking techniques, and careful processing of all products.
