Quilter's Cottage is a hidden gem to be found in Kiester, Minnesota, a small community located in South Central Minnesota. As you enter the store you will see a gift room filled with gifts, mixes, candies and home décor. There is an entire room devoted to seasonal fabrics, including Christmas fabrics and flannels. These are featured during the "Christmas-in-July" celebration. As you browse the store, you will find over 3000 bolts of fabrics, including numerous "blenders", 30's designs, children's prints, flannels and batiks, along with "STOF" fabrics from Denmark. Many walls are covered with samples and ideas. Connie Peterson-Owner and her helpers strive to make everyone welcome in her store. They all take pride in being able to provide help in choosing fabrics, giving "one-on-one" instructions for novice quilters, and offering various classes through-out the year, plus a BOM (Block of the Month). The Quilter's Cottage has a Facebook page to keep everyone current with future events, and they look forward to seeing new faces and, of course, new customers and friends.
