Sugar Bowl opened its doors in Storm Lake, IA in 1905. It began as a local hangout for college students serving the very popular “kistwich” sandwich and drinks from their soda fountain.
Sugar Bowl became a Hallmark Gold Crown store in 1952. Always located in downtown Storm Lake, the 5,500 square foot gift shop now sits on the corner of Lake Avenue and West 6th Street in the former JCPenney building.
