The BackStitch was started back in 1986 on a porch in a family home. It has grown from being above the grocery store to where we are located at 108 South Main Street in downtown Historic Elkader.
Karen Jackson has owned the business since 1993, even though she works at another job in different town she is very active with the business from meeting fabric representatives to placing orders for customers.
The shop could not be run without the help from her faithful employees. Karen's employees are a very talented group and are always busy working on shop samples for both the quilting and cross stitch sides.
They will be more than happy to help you with your next quilting and cross stitch projects.
