Truax Insurance is an independent insurance agency located in Parkersburg, Iowa. In 1946 Herman Faber purchased the prior Eisenschmidt Harness and Shoe Repair located at 240 3rd Street. Herman did some remodeling and updated the storefront in 1956. Vern Ingalls started working for Herman In 1966, and shortly after purchased the business renaming the business Ingalls Insurance, Inc. Agency. Vern Ingalls operated the agency from 1966 until 2003 when Kevin Truax purchased the the business renaming the business Truax Insurance.
