A community of approximately 1,700 population, we have just about everything you need in our little hamlet to live, work, shop and play. Our town square is the central hub of our hometown life. When sitting in our square on a sunny afternoon you can see how charming our town really is. You see families of all ages strolling the streets and enjoying our town fountain, you see the many locally owned businesses situated conveniently around the square, you see our community owned theater where all seats are only $2, and most inviting of all, you see smiling and friendly people making eye contact and saying hello.

Lake City has a wonderful school system, an excellent hospital and clinic and an absolutely delightful hometown atmosphere to live in safety with a low cost of living.
