BRICELYN — The annual Bricelyn Fourth of July celebration will span three days this year and feature a wide array of family activities.
Events begin with a pork sandwich supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Bricelyn Fire Hall followed by a free movie at 7:30 p.m.
Registration for the Ron Sander Memorial Run begins at 8 a.m. Saturday. A one-mile run or walk begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by a 5k run and walk at 9 a.m.
Also at 9 a.m., co-ed volleyball tournaments begin at city park.
A parade will be at 1 p.m. This year’s grand marshal is Marlin Krupp, an area auctioneer.
A cribbage tournament follows the parade at the Bricelyn American Legion.
The events Saturday will also feature a balloon lady, bean bag tournament, a horse show and other activities.
At 7:30 p.m., there will be a variety show at the Bricelyn Lutheran Church.
Fireworks are expected to begin at dusk. A dance at the Bricelyn Legion featuring High Street begins at 8 p.m.
Events on Sunday begin with the annual Bricelyn Fire Department pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the station.
A community worship service will begin at 10 a.m. at city park, featuring Sunrise and Joyful Noise. In case of inclement weather, the service will be at Bricelyn Lutheran Church.
Throughout the celebration, clues will be listed at Bud’s Cafe for the medallion hunt, and the Bricelyn Area Museum and little red schoolhouse will be open for public tours.
