The Expo, featuring hundreds of beautiful woodcarvings and quilts, takes place at Blue Earth Area High School’s Unity Hall. The Hall is handicapped accessible, air conditioned and also boasts a nice concession stand to grab a sandwich or a home baked goodie.
Each year the Expo features quilting and carving demonstrations & a woodcarving class, along with vendors and a Quilt Market.
Event organizers are especially excited to present guest speaker, Karen McTavish who is being sponsored by Heartland Embroidery of Blue Earth. Karen began machine quilting in 1997. She has developed her own signature techniques such as Mc Tavishing, Scrollwork, Shadow and Color Trapunto, and of course Wholecloth/Whitework and Victorian. McTavish will give a lecture and trunk show beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 14th at the Expo. CLICK HERE TO VIEW POSTER
