From the founding fathers, who settled and organized the churches and started the local businesses to the present day citizens who worked hard to rebuild main street after a tornado on June 24, 2003, destroyed the grocery story, bakery and post office, the people of Buffalo Lake constantly work for the betterment of the community.
There is a beautiful county campground 7 miles north of Buffalo Lake, located on Lake Allie. Consider spending some time fishing and enjoying what the city of Buffalo Lake has to offer.
