About Orient, IA

Orient was incorporated in 1882, on a site laid out by the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy Railroad in 1879. Today, Orient is a quiet little town perfectly situated between the regional hub of Creston and the county seat in Greenfield - a great place to raise a family and a

peaceful place to live. The Orient Pumpkin Days Festival had sprouted by 1906, and continued until 1947, before being revived in 1980. We encourage you to check out our community for yourself - either for the day, or for a lifetime.
